Author Daniel R. Williamson was born in Wooster, Ohio, and grew up on a small farm in Creston, Ohio. He developed his writing skills at a branch of the University of Akron. He enjoys long rides in the country and spending time in the mountains watching wildlife. His favorite TV channels are "National Geographic, History, and Discovery." Daniel and his wife Kathleen have recently moved from Asheville, North Carolina to Grants Pass, Oregon. They have three children and seven grandchildren.
Over twenty years ago, Daniel started looking for the truth concerning biblical creation. Today, after over 30,000 hours of searching for understanding, he has faith that both the Bible and scientific evidence are telling the truth. About twenty years ago, I came to a crossroad in my life. Deep inside, I needed to know if God was real or if He was only a crutch for weak-minded people. I started searching the Bible for answers.
I did not get very far in my quest to find the truth about the reality of God when a problem the size of a mountain formed in my mind. In an effort to solve this problem, I searched for twenty years to find the answer to one question: If God is real and was the creator of the universe and everything in it, why doesn't the biblical story of Genesis agree with scientific evidence concerning the formation of our universe and man's origin?
Truly, I wanted to believe in the truthfulness of the Bible, but without reconciling the biblical story of creation with scientific evidence, I lacked faith in the Bible; however, after praying, seeking, and meditating on God's Word for many thousands of hours, I have become convinced that the biblical version of creation and the scientific version of creation are actually the same story. Lack of true understanding about God's written Word has kept this information secret until now.
I have been on a fascinating journey from a need-to-know to an incredible, eye-opening understanding; and now I desire to share my journey with the world.
Readers will never be asked to doubt the truthfulness of the Bible, but they will be asked to examine some of their long-held beliefs.
